A Native of Toledo, Seneca attended St. Ursula Academy. After high school, she received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toledo. After completing her undergraduate degree, she moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked as a congressional fundraiser.
After a year in Washington, D.C., she decided to return to Toledo, where she received her Juris Doctorate from University Of Toledo College Of Law. During her time in law school, she worked both as an intern for the Lucas County Public Defender, as well as a teacher for the Law and Leadership Institute.
